Today the coolest thing ever happened. We were leaving Home Depot, where we purchased a new toilet (that's not the exciting part...keep going). We were driving past Ruby Tuesday, and there in the parking lot, was none other than.....





...the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile!!!!!!!!

We pulled into the lot, and I snapped a picture with my phone. As soon as I figure out how to get them on my computer, I'll post the picture in my scraps.

This was the greatest day ever.

Well, I have a subscription for a short time, so I wanted to put it to good use by doing a journal feature. My original intention was to have an entire feature devoted to mermaids, since I like drawing them so much myself, and I'm always interested in seeing what other people come up with. I was going to get all the featured works from the thumbshare forum. Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of response from my post there, so...new plan!

To start things off, here are a few works that I found through my thumbshare post that I thought were very deserving of a feature. While some of them don't strictly fall under the "mermaid" category, I liked them so much that I wanted to feature them anyway. So have a look!

I wish I had time to personally thank each one of you for your recent comments and faves, but I've been really busy. I just started a new job, and have had very little time to spend around here. I do appreciate every comment and fave. I just know that I won't have the time to keep up with responding to each one personally like I have in the past. I wish I could.....but when I get my first paycheck, I'm hoping it'll be worth it! Just know that this doesn't mean your comments are any less meaningful to me. Believe me, they mean a lot!
